ROG'S VIEWPOINT: 4 CAMS Camera Camera Camera Camera
While lacking the freshness and originality of "Finding Nemo", this worthy sequel is equally delightful and heartwarming. It's like spending some time with old friends with the joy of making some new ones. Marlin and his son Nemo tag along on Dory's journey to find her parents, helping to provide familiar laughs and a few thrills. One of the new surprises is Hank, a septopus who's one tentacle shy of being an octopus. He's a hilarious expert at camouflage, hiding up to and through the closing credits. Other denizens of the deep (and shallow) include Destiny the Whale Shark, Bailey the Beluga Whale and some lethargic sea lions. Many surprises and creature encounters fill the screen, but the fun is in the discovery - no spoilers will be revealed here. Like the best of Pixar, this colorful pearl touches every emotion in any dimension (2D or 3D). An added treat is the studio's latest animated short that precedes the main feature. "Piper" is a charmer about a hungry baby Sandpiper having to deal with terrifying waves on the beach. If you're searching for something the entire family will enjoy, the quest ends here. From start to fin-ish, "Finding Dory" is unforgettable.
