TRIVIA: What was the first movie produced by Jerry Bruckheimer? ROG'S VIEWPOINT ![]()
(3 CAMS) RATED PGA team of specially trained guinea pigs, led by Darwin (the voice of Sam Rockwell), attempts to stop billionaire Saber (Bill Nighy) from taking over the world with his network of household appliances. "G-Force" is an action-packed, and sometimes funny, family film. This is the first 3-D movie from producer Jerry Bruckheimer. Putting the audience in the middle of the excitement, the awesome third dimension is what makes it involving for adults - not to mention a little grown-up humor and some jabs at James Bond and the Transformers. Director Hoyt Yeatman keeps those furry little animals rolling along for the sake of the kids. The star-studded voice cast includes Nicolas Cage, Penélope Cruz and Tracy Morgan. Besides Bill Nighy, the humans are represented by Will Arnett, Zach Galifianakis and Kelli Garner. As Ben, the human genius behind G-Force, Galifianakis doesn't have much to do in this movie. He appears to be hung over from his last film project. But it's the adorable CG creatures that the audience wants to see and they won't be disappointed. "G-Force" is a true Bruckheimer spectacle - especially with the glasses! It may not be great, but at least it's G-ood.
