the movie starts out with the old crazy man Ralph getting hit with a semi truck right after he tells the five young men they are doomed. They had to come to town and it seems as if it was a funny horror flick. The old man rides up the side of the building saying youre doomed, youre doomed. There is a dead woman in the house the young men are staying. Would really like to know the name of this movie

Crazy Ralph was a character in the horror classic "Friday The 13th" (at least parts 1&2). I hope this helps.

I am looking for a WWII black and white movie title from a flick I saw back in the late 70's. I only remember that the ending scene was set in a graveyard with the Germans advancing on a hastily made position and defended by ??spies?? or agents both men and women. I distinctly remember a bridge blowing up at the end and partisans.

There was a sci-fi movie I saw on cable a few times in the 80's. It wasn't a great movie but I'd like to see it again or at the least find out the name.

    Here's what I remember:

It was set in the future after a world war that was fought by men in giant robots.
(Sort of like a Mech Warrior but I think the movie predates the game.)

After the war the giant robots are outlawed and dismantled.

As it turns out two of these robots are still around (buried?) and at the end of the movie they are resurrected - one is manned by the "good guy" and the other is manned by the "bad guy".

They have a climactic battle, the good guy wins and... well, that's all I remember.

Does this sound familiar? Does anyone know the name?

    Thanks!

i think the movie came out in the 90's on disney channel (maybe). it's about a kid who goes back in time to the medieval days and the only parts i remember are him and some people hiding in a trapdoor in the floor and someone covers it with hay because people are invading their village. the other part i remember is at the end when he returns home, they are outside putting on a play or a show or something. I hope my description helps. trying to figure out the name of this movie has been driving me crazy.

The authorities are searching for him, but she hides him until the authorities move on to search the next island. Once the authorities have moved on, he looks at the girl in a weird way, she realises that she has been fooled and runs away - he chases after her - end of film.......

    Any thoughts?

    Cheers to all.

The movie starts out with two friends at a wedding. During the wedding one of them meets a woman. They start dating and get married. After they get married he starts to think she is having an affair. They get into an argument and he leaves the apartment. When he gets back later that evening the police are there and she is beat up. She blames him and the story continues with her making him out to seem crazy. He gets sent to an insane assylum and finds out his friend, from the wedding, has been having an affair with his wife. When his wife comes to visit he gets another patien whom he has befriended to distract the orderly and he strangles his wife. It ends with her saying "they will get you" and he responds "don't you remember? I'm crazy."

I remember seeing a movie in the late 1980's or early 1990's. The story is of a police officer from California that is teamed with a grossly incompetent FBI agent. They are trying to track down the killer of a police officer. The person responsible belongs to a White Supremacist group. They end of the movie is with a shoot out in a man made cave many feet under ground. I believe that the lead actor was Don Johnson, but I can't be sure.

This is the plot of "Dead Bang" (1989), which does star Don Johnson.

The Film starts with a Suicide bombing in a square. The investigating officer has a daughter that has gone missing. As he tries to solve the bombing he finds out that his own daughter was dating the bomber, and the video clip in his office of the whole bombing. Which shows a lady running to the bomber before he goes off was actually his own child. The movie runs in two time frames, one week before and present. It ends with the father running to the house where the bomber lives to find his mother crying at a photo. Any one know the film title ? name? etc... It is really bugging me!

I saw this movie when I was a kid in camp, so it's either from the 70s, 80s, or at the very latest early 90s. A group of kids run away and take up residence in an abandoned house. They clean the place up by painting it and raking out leaves. I remember one scene in particular where one kid puts hand prints on the wall. One kid ran away by hiding in a dumpster. I think he was trying to avoid boarding school.

The only other part I remember is the end where they find a metal box under a statue with a paper rose inside. Then they discover the box has a secret bottom with a jeweled rose. There may have been some robbers were after it because I vaguely remember cops present. Sure hope you know what this is because I'm lost.

The movie is Australian, it's set in the late 1960's-late 1970's. It's about a Japanese couple on holiday somewhere in Australia. The japanese wife runs off with some australian bad boy type character. The japanese husband then goes on insane and goes on a murder spree rampage. He is tracking down his betraying wife with a japanese sword. Eventually the japanese husband killer tracks down the badass australian characters father, murders him and ultimatly the movie ends in tragety as the austalian badass and his new japanese girlfriend are burned alive after the car they were being chased in flipped over after being chased. There are chase scenes involving a japanese sport bike and australian muscle cars. Very cool film I can't remember the title though! please help.

Mid to late 1950's movie about a student who is obsessed with his teacher. To be friendly, she takes him out for a hamburger. She gets hounded by the faculty as well as the male students who attack her in the dark locker room. This is in color, and I thought the teacher was Lana Turner or Susan Hayward. Great movie though.

Hi, I have been trying to find out a movie that I watched in the 80's, it was probably from the 60's or 70's. I do not know any of the stars that played in it. It was a mother, father, and daughter, and the daughter was seeing a bad boy, and her father was very upset and tried to get her to stop seeing this guy.(I think most of the film was located @ their house and @ their pool) In the end of the movie, it came out, she wasn't seeing the bad boy, but her father's employee, who was sorta a nerdy fellow. HELP.. I really liked this movie, and would love to see it again.

Is this movie a comedy? A drama? There are a lot of films where parents, especially fathers, clash with daughters over boyfriends. The comedy "Superdad" and the drama "Splendor In The Grass" are a couple that come to mind.

  • At October 11, 2009 7:53 PM , Blogger soo_22570 said...

It's a comedy I believe. I looked @ those 2 films, and those are not it. It's a much older film than Superdad, closer to Splendor in the Grass. I want to say it stars Jack Lemmon(or someone that looks similiar to him), but I looked @ his old films and none fit the bill. Sorry, I know I'm not much help.

I really thought 1973's "Superdad" was close to that plot. Bob Crane acted a lot like Jack Lemmon. Your movie is probably 50s or 60s? Is Sandra Dee maybe the daughter? "Gidget"? "Take Her, She's Mine"?

Another brother threatens him to stay away from the wife. The half brother has an affair with the wife and the other brother shoots him outside of her fathers house. Thanks for any help you can give me. I remeber a scene where there is a family picture being done and the mother of the boys has the half brothers mom get in also. I'm trying to remember the title of this rodeo movie. I think it's probably an 80's flick but it may be 90's. It starts out with a family, dad is in the rodeo, they have a boy. They go out one night, dad is drunk, but convinces mom he's okay to drive. They get into an accident, mom dies, boy is injured. Dad also had won some money (though I don't remember how) and tears it up in the hospital. He leaves the boy with someone and he says he's going back to the rodeo. The boy grows up, and I'm not sure if he becomes part of the rodeo himself or if he's just looking for his father. In the end he finds out his dad hasn't been riding, but instead is a rodeo clown. Any help?

I saw a black & white movie or perhaps just an hour long show when I was a child. I do recall it was a movie with sound.
It was about a seemingly happy husband and wife in a suburban neighborhood. The husband was either thinking of leaving his wife for some reason or possibly thinking of having an affair with someone and decided to send a letter to tell her everything he was feeling and/or going to do. I think the wife was completely unaware that there was any trouble in the marriage or that the husband was thinking about leaving (or another woman). The letter is mailed. I think the husband changes his mind and tries to retrieve the letter but fails.
The next thing I remember about the plot was very near to the end of the movie/show. Life for the couple resumed as if nothing ever happened. I guess it went on as it always had but had gotten better. You get the feeling all has been bliss since that uneventful day. The couple had remained together happily. Then a postman comes knocking at the door. He says I have a letter that was lost in the mail for your wife. Of course, the recovered letter was "THE" letter the husband had written from way back exposing his intentions. Now how it ends gets a little fuzzy but I think he looks at her, holds her, and asks her to please not open it. They look at each other and she goes to the fireplace and tosses it in a lit fire. You see the letter burning and that's where you're left in the end.

    hello,
I saw this movie and I can't find it because I forgot the title. Maybe you can help?
In Texas, Nevada or Denver, not sure where it takes place, or if that's in the title? A small desert like town, a funny comedy with a brother and his girlfriend want to leave town for good to California, but the other brother keeps getting into trouble. Fights, drinking and swearing are the funniest parts. The main brother is calm and cool and the crazy brother is a nut.
His nutty brother ends up hurt, the good brother fixes all. The main characters are hillbilly trailer park types and the good brothers girlfriend is a hot little blond (famous) I wanna say he called her, baby or angel.
The whole plot is him bailing his brother out of trouble constantly, his girlfriend ready to leave town waiting on him and the trouble his brother gets into is hilarious.
I thought the bad brother was Steve Zahn but I couldn't find it under his filmography. Maybe he reminds me of him. Anyway I saw it about 3 years ago but I'm not sure of the release year? I hope you can help, I loved the movie, funniest ever! Thanks alot!!

The movie I would like to find was -I think- a made for TV movie?
What I remember is a woman with -I think- 3 kids are at home and her husband has flown elsewhere on a business trip when a bomb goes off (mushroom shaped). It was mainly about "life" after a nuclear bomb and what after effects your would have to live with. One by one her kids get "sick" and die - and a neighbors infant is buried in a dresser drawer for a coffin when it dies. I think the actress that played the mom was Mary Steenburgen or Christine Lahti??

Can anyone help w/title of movie??
    Thanks

I think you are looking for "Testament" (1983) starring Jane Alexander. It is available on video.
